While I may not have the budget to purchase The Bag (just yet, there’s a plan), or a Lady Dior, or Loewe Madrid, I do have the funds to splurge on lunch at Monsieur Dior inside the Dior flagship on 30 Avenue Montaigne.
And it is worth every penny.
The Dior “complex” is nestled within the Golden Triangle, a short walk off of Champs Elysees, and it wraps around the corners of Avenue Montaigne and Rue Francois. (The Dior museum is here as well, and I recommend purchasing tickets in advance).
Walking through the main doors is an experience – as I entered, the nice doorman escorted me up a winding, white staircase to the beautifully lit restaurant. Here, you have a view of the atrium and tantalizing hints of browsable sections of the boutique.

Order a fun cocktail, an appetizer, and then the steak frites (what Monsieur Dior himself ate before his shows). The service is impeccable, the butter pat is stamped with CD (adorable), and the food is delicious.
I lingered for 1.5 hours over lunch, under a portrait of Monsieur Dior, and stared wistfully into the atrium, thinking about the history of the space and all those who had come before. Afterwards, I wandered through every section of the store, delighting in the housewares, bags, jewelry, shoes (oh, the shoes!), and the fashion.
Now, lunch at Dior is a first-day tradition for all of my Paris trips. It reminds me of my first visit and sets the tone for my adventures.
Have lunch with yourself at Monsieur Dior and soak up the luxury of the attention, the setting, and some solo reflection time.
Au revoir until next time,
